Andrew Rempfer

Andrew RempferAndrew Rempfer practices primarily in the fields of employment law and commercial litigation. He has successfully certified two national class actions in wage-and-hour cases (Gamble v. Boyd Gaming; Grahl v. Circle K), with numerous other class actions.

He has substantial experience in the areas of the Fair Labor Standards Act, Nevada wage-and-hour laws, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and with the Mine Safety and Health Administration. Andrew is one of only four lawyers in America who actively practice mining law on behalf of the miners. 

A native Iowan born in Clinton, Iowa, Rempfer attended the University of Iowa, obtaining two Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science and history. He then attended Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. While studying at Drake, he clerked for both Dean David Walker, the Dean of the Law School and Her Honor, Federal Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Iowa, Celeste Bremer. Rempfer graduated in 2003, with honors, from Drake Law. 

After graduating with honors from Drake Law in 2003, Rempfer moved to Las Vegas and worked for Marquis & Aurbach, one of Nevada’s most prominent law firms. Next, he served as General Counsel for a Nevada-based company that employs over 13,000 people in 17 states. His experience with employment law then led him to the nation’s largest defense (employer’s side) employment & labor law firm, where he worked for three years.

Andrew has litigated over 500 cases, conducting approximately 125 depositions, represented parties in nearly 25 arbitrations/mediations and proceeding to trial nearly a dozen times. He has drafted several prominent treatises on Nevada employment law and international employment law. Andrew was selected by his peers as a Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2009 to the present, an honor bestowed on less than 5% of the best and brightest lawyers under the age of 40. 

When not working, you probably won't be able to find Andy, his wife, and three kids, unless you're out in the woods, camping like them.
